Features and Benefits Provides effective waterproofing and also greatly improves production in clean granular material such as gravels, rock, sands and sandstones (which tend to “lock up” when compressed within the TBM) by reducing internal friction in the muck mass. Encourages volumetric mucking (and therefore protects against surface disturbance). ALLOWS TRUE EPB CONTROL by producing easy, paste flow condition in mixed, granular, and difficult ground. Especially effective in sands and gravels. Provides lubrication solution in pumped muck conveying systems (e.g. Putzmeister). CONTROLS WATER INGRESS AND MINIMISES MOISTURE CONTENT OF MUCK AWAY: creates a plug in fissured, loose, wet ground when injected into the face, screw or plenum. | EXCEPTIONALLY ECONOMICAL IN USE: High performance formula means lower usage and lower muck rehabilitation cost CONTROLS CLAY SWELLING. ANTI-SLUMP FOR WET MUCK - allows better payloads on muck away. PREVENTS CLAY STICKING to muck bins, buckets etc. GREATLY REDUCES SETTLEMENT AND HEAVE : Makes loose or sandy ground easy to control and helps to ensure exact volumetric mucking. POWERFUL LUBRICATING ACTION: reduces cutterhead torque . AIDS MUCK PUMPING VERSATILE: can be applied neat, in water solution, or in a foam or mist. MUCK REHABILITATION AND SPOIL RE-USE: Consult Morrison Mud for advice on further treatment to impart suitable engineering properties for muck-re-use. NOTE: TK60 IS ALSO USED AS A COMPONENT OF THE SLOOP HIGH PERFORMANCE CAISSON LUBRICANT FORMULA - SEE SLOOP DATA SHEET FOR DETAILS> How to Use Typical concentration: 0.1% to 0.4% of the water or foam solution. Can also be injected neat into the screw or plenum to create a seal. Contact Morrison Mud for detailed advice on using this product in your TBM. If it is not fitted with foam generating and additive dosing equipment, or you need to upgrade, we can supply and install these at low cost. Safety Non-toxic: biodegrades slowly.
