PRODUCT DATA SHEET

Bentonite retarder/dispersant; calcium scavenger

Features and Benefits

Mud thinner and dispersant for drilling and HDD

Can be used to:

Reduce the viscosity of mining slurries and drilling muds

Inhibit stickiness of clay and help to break up clay balls.

Treat cement contaminated slurries so as to recover normal bentonite and polymer properties and prevent or minimise adverse effects on mud properties before drilling into cement.

Produce very high concentrations (up to 30%) of bentonite in slurries which remain fluid for 20 to 40 minutes before yielding an impermeable, putty-like mass. This means that a readily-pumpable slurry can be prepared and pumped, which will over 2 or 3 hours in situ develop permanent clay strength and impermeability.

0.25 to 1.5 kg per cubic metre of slurry for thinning or cement pretreatment; approx. 10 kg

per cubic metre when used as a retarder before adding bentonite.

How to Use

1 to 5 kg per cubic metre of slurry for thinning; approx. 10 kg per cubic metre when used as a retarder before adding the bentonite.

Safety

Non toxic.

Format

Powder: 25 kg sacks
